  • 41% of consumers report that social media plays a part when they select a doctor or hospital.
  • 31% of healthcare institutions have social media guidelines.
  • 31% of providers also said they use social media to network.
  • 26% of U.S. hospitals use some form of social media.
  • 60% of surveyed physicians said that social media has enhanced healthcare.
  • You Tube-to-hospital-Website traffic has increased 119%.
  • 23% or surveyed drug companies say they have not had to deal with privacy and security issues.
  • Most hospitals use Facebook more than any other social media platform.
