CBO has released its report on the Senate health bill

By Admin | July 12, 2017

Healthcare has been front and center of every news cycle for weeks, especially since Republican senators were penning their proposal behind closed doors.

The Congressional Budget Office has released what exactly The House Bill, AKA American Health Care Act, and the Senate rewrite, Better Care Reconciliation Act, will change and what that means for certain Americans.

In a nutshell, the highest earners will pay less taxes, people in states that revoke Affordable Care Act mandates will be able to offer lower cost insurance policies (but with less coverage), and pre-existing conditions will still be covered (with caveats, not all conditions are guaranteed and/or coverage prices can be higher depending on residence).

For an in-depth look at the findings, read “CHART: CBO Weighs Who Wins, Who Loses With Senate Health Care Bill” by NPR.
